Misha of New York
Misha was born and trained in the former Soviet Union.
After honing his design skills at the Odessa School or Art, he came to America in 1990. Specializing in the challenging enamel processing methods in which he was trained, he immediately began working for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum Collection Catalog, reproducing famous and intricate Faberge Egg designs. He soon became creating original jewlery, eventually opening a retail store to market his line in New York's Greenwich Village.
"It is my New York City retail experience that most helped me understand the diverse needs of the American consumer," he remembers . "In my store, I sold jewlery and accessories to every sort of person and ecountered every sort of taste!" Misha has mastered, thanks to his classical training and inexhaustible creativity, the mixture of freshness, versatility and forward thinking so important to fashion jewlery design.
